KEANEKARAGAMAN SPESIES LEPIDOPTERA (RHOPALOCERA) DI KAWASAN TAMAN NOSTALGIA KOTA KUPANG

Kawasan taman kota berperan penting sebagai habitat pendukung keanekaragaman hayati, termasuk kupu-kupu (Lepidoptera: Rhopalocera) yang sensitif terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi spesies kupu-kupu serta menganalisis tingkat keanekaragaman kupu-kupu di kawasan Taman Nostalgia Kota Kupang. Pengambilan data dilakukan melalui metode jelajah dengan pengamatan langsung pada pagi hingga siang hari, dilanjutkan dengan identifikasi morfologi menggunakan buku acuan. Tingkat keanekaragaman dianalisis menggunakan indeks Shannon–Wiener. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 81 individu kupu-kupu yang tergolong ke dalam empat famili, yaitu Nymphalidae, Papilionidae, Pieridae, dan Lycaenidae, dengan famili Nymphalidae sebagai kelompok yang paling dominan. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman menunjukkan kategori sedang, yang mengindikasikan bahwa Taman Nostalgia masih mampu mendukung komunitas kupu-kupu meskipun berada di lingkungan perkotaan. Penelitian ini memberikan data dasar penting bagi upaya pengelolaan taman kota yang berorientasi pada konservasi keanekaragaman Lepidoptera.Downloads
