Edukasi Pencegahan Tuberkulosis melalui Diskusi Interaktif pada Masyarakat di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Alang-Alang Lebar

Abstract

Tuberkulosis (TB) merupakan penyakit menular yang masih menjadi masalah kesehatan utama di Indonesia, yang menempati peringkat kedua kasus TBC terbanyak di dunia setelah India. Di Indoensia, Kota Palembang khususnya wilayah kerja Puskesmas Alang-Alang Lebar memiliki kontribusi yang besar terhadap angka kejadian/kasus TB secara nasional. Hal ini terjadi karena masih rendahnya tingkat pengaahua masyarakat terkait pencegahan dan penaggulangan TB. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat mengenai definisi, gejala, cara penularan, serta upaya pencegahan TB. Kegiatan edukasi dilaksanakan pada 15 September 2025 di Puskesmas Alang-Alang Lebar oleh dokter muda Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Sriwijaya. Kegiatan edukasi dilakukan dengan melibatkan 23 orang peserta. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi interaktif, dan tanya jawab, dengan evaluasi melalui post-test 15 pertanyaan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar peserta (78,2%) memiliki pengetahuan yang cukup baik. Meskipun masih terdapat beberapa mis-informasi pada masyarakt, secara keseluruhan edukasi kesehatan yang dilakukan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat. Kegiatan edukasi diharapkan dapat dilaksanakan secara rutin untuk mendukung target eliminasi TBC 2030.
